California Street in Jacksonville\, Oregon\, and home to Jacksonville’s wealthiest pioneer family. \nLearn about the many cultures that contributed to the Christmas celebration we know.  Find the good luck German pickle ornament on the Christmas tree.  Sing a Christmas carol.  Steal a kiss under the mistletoe.  Hear about presents the Beekmans exchanged.  Sample one of Mrs. Beekman’s sugar cookies.  And visit Mrs. Beekman’s Christmas Bazaar for toys\, crafts\, collectibles\, holiday items\, and popular Victorian era gifts. \nVictorian costumed docents will be offering these holiday house tours every 20 minutes between 12 noon and 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Tour tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. We are eclectic in nature\, singing Bach to the Beatles and beyond\, require no auditions\, and rehearse 12 weeks for two concerts\, one in Applegate and one in Jacksonville. DESCRIPTION:Please Join Us for a Series of Town Halls! – by Ian Foster\, Planning Director\, City of Jacksonville  \nOver the past couple of years\, your Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) tasked with reviewing and updating the City’s Development Code has been hard at work carefully reviewing and revising the draft document. The project is a city initiative to clarify and improve regulations for development within the city\, including the rules for modifications to existing structures\, new construction\, the division of land\, and historic protections. We are at a point in this project where we want to share with you some of the key changes and major updates proposed with the new draft. We also want to hear from you as we are still in the draft phase. \nWhy are we doing this?—The current Development Code is long overdue for an update. The current version is inconsistent (sometimes even on the same page) and lacks clear standards. This leads to confusion among the public\, practitioners\, staff\, and the hearing bodies responsible for its administration. Ultimately\, the inconsistencies and lack of clarity are risky for the city. \nHow can I provide input?—We want you to be involved in the process. Through the combination of our website specifically crafted for this project: jacksonvillecodeupdate.com\, open CAC meetings that are also available on demand on the City’s website\, or through a series of townhalls\, we want your input. \nOver the next few months\, please join the CAC and members of the Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI) for a series of townhall events for an in-depth review of the CAC’s work so far. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and to provide feedback. The discussion will begin with an overview of the revised “permitted use” table. California Street in Jacksonville\, Oregon\, and home to Jacksonville’s wealthiest pioneer family. \nLearn about the many cultures that contributed to the Christmas celebration we know.  Find the good luck German pickle ornament on the Christmas tree.  Sing a Christmas carol.  Steal a kiss under the mistletoe.  Hear about presents the Beekmans exchanged.  Sample one of Mrs. Beekman’s sugar cookies.  And visit Mrs. Beekman’s Christmas Bazaar for toys\, crafts\, collectibles\, holiday items\, and popular Victorian era gifts. \nVictorian costumed docents will be offering these holiday house tours every 20 minutes between 12 noon and 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Tour tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Saturday\, December 17\, will be a fun day of activities at the bridge from noon to 6pm. Free hot beverages! A bigger\, yummier bake sale than last year. Shopping for wonderful gifts and décor. Santa and Mrs. Claus will hand out gifts to children at 3-3:30pm\, and then members of Voices of the Applegate will lead community caroling. Come share the magic of our 105-year-old bridge!

She has a Practice Leader Certificate from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi\, and has been leading practice groups for six years.
