SUMMARY:Artists in the Garden” at McCully House Inn
DESCRIPTION:By Anne Brooke \nWHENMY 10 YEARS with Art Presence Art Center ended\, it enabled me to return to myStudio/Gallery to provide classes in Life Drawing\, Beginning Drawing\,Watercolor\, Calligraphy and Colored Pencil—just doing what I have loved doingfor forty years. \nThree years ago\, I approached Britt Festivals’ Abby McKeeabout providing art during Britt Classical Concerts; after all the venue wascalled Britt Festival of Music and Art. At the time\, the only art at the festivalwas the annual commissioned festival poster\, so Abby agreed and “Art at theBritt” was born. Six fine artists: Nancy and Kim Sterling\, Lauren Card\, DesmondSerratore\, Susan Burnes and Alx Fox joined me in exhibiting on the grounds. Ithas been wonderfully successful with lots of positive support. \nThe McCully House Inn is also providing us with a venueto exhibit our work for two days in September at an event called\, “Artists inthe Garden.” This willcoincide with the “Jacksonville Jubilee” event put on by theJacksonville Chamber of Commerce. \nPlease join me onSeptember 12 and 13\, from 1-7pm\, in their beautiful garden behind the inn—I look forward to meeting and sharing a mutualappreciation for art in this incredible town.

SUMMARY:Citywide Yard Sale 7am-8pm
DESCRIPTION:CITYWIDE YARD SALE \nFriday-Sunday\, September 11-13\, 2026Set-Up: Thursday\, September 10\, 6-10pm (No Sales Allowed)Yard Sale Days: 7am-8pm \n AS THE Citywide Yard Sale date approaches\, it is important to remember that the City of Jacksonville does not sponsor this event and that there are public safety issues associated with it. When our town is full of bargain hunters and treasure seekers\, parking becomes an issue in some areas. Here are some basic guidelines to follow during the busy weekend. The Jacksonville Municipal Code and the Oregon Revised Statutes support these guidelines. \n\nStopping your vehicle in the middle of the road is never allowed.\nThe yellow\, red\,and green markings on the roadway and the curbs indicate that parking is prohibited or limited. Be aware of your surroundings.\nIt is only allowed to park within 20 feet of an intersection\, whether the curb or ground is painted\, if a designated parking space is indicated.\nPublic safety vehicles must be able to travel safely down all streets in case of an emergency.\nDo not park with any portion of your vehicle extending into the roadway. \nIf the road is painted with no parking and/or a yellow\, red\, or green line\, pulling into the area inside that line\, no matter how far off the street the vehicle is\, is still considered illegal parking.\nTimed parking will be enforced.\nHandicapped parking will be enforced.\nThere is no parking on North Fifth St/Hwy 238 \nCalifornia/Hwy 238is a State Highway and is subject to tickets associated with the Oregon State Police and Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. \nRead the signs at the beginning and end of each block to see if parking is limited in that area. \n\nThe Citywide Yard Sale weekend is a busy one. Illegal parking makes it more dangerous for all people involved. The police will be ticketing illegally parked vehicles. Please be sure you follow the law.  \n \n

SUMMARY:Rogue Flavor Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 5\, 2-7pm: Rogue Flavor Showcase. Bigham Knoll.  https://rvfoodsystem.org/rogue-flavor-showcase  \nJacksonville Review – September 2026\nBy Karolina Lavagnino \nTHE SMELL OF FRESH-BAKED sourdough drifting across a sun-drenched lawn. A glass of estate wine that tastes unmistakably of this valley’s soil. A farmer handing you an heirloom tomato still warm from the vine\, and telling you how it grew. This is what Saturday\, September 5 looks like at the inaugural Rogue Flavor Showcase. \nJoin us for this authentic celebration of the Rogue Valley’s extraordinary culinary and agricultural identity—honoring the growers\, winemakers\, brewers\, fermenters\, chefs\, and food and beverage artisans who make this region one of the most flavorful corners of the American West. \nThe harvest table alone will be worth the trip. Expect heirloom tomatoes\, farm-fresh produce\, handcrafted krauts and pickles\, jams\, breads\, pasture-raised meats\, vibrant pesto and chimichurri\, flavor-packed hot sauces\, and small-batch cheeses—all grown or crafted right here in Southern Oregon. A remarkable gathering of local farms and food makers\, united by a shared love of this land and what it produces. \nOn the Culinary Stage\, four chefs who source their ingredients locally will bring it all to life with live demonstrations—showing how easy recipes can turn extraordinary regional ingredients into delicious\, flavor-packed dishes. \nThe Showcase also features two panel discussions designed to deepen the connection between consumers and makers—real conversations about how food is grown\, crafted\, and brought to your table. And for the youngest guests\, Rogue Valley Farm to School is bringing a hands-on activity that introduces kids to the joys of local food and where it comes from. Families are warmly welcome. Children 12 and under are free. \nFor guests 21 and over\, a commemorative tasting glass awaits—perfect for exploring pours from Troon Vineyard\, Quady North\, Circadian Cellars\, Arpeggio Vineyard\, Terrene Winery & Cidery and others. Tickets are $20. \nCome hungry\, come curious\, and come ready to be inspired by the best of what grows and thrives right here in the Rogue Valley. \nRogue Flavor Showcase\, September 5\, 2–7pm\, Bigham Knoll Campus. \nFor more information\, please visit rvfoodsystem.org/rogue-flavor-showcase.
