Victorian Mourning Customs tours at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House Museum

October 22 and 23 – Victorian Mourning Customs tours at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House Museum.  1 hour tours begin every 20 minutes from 12n to 3pm.  Victorians created elaborate rituals around the passing of a loved one.  The house will be decorated as a Victorian house in mourning and costumed docents will share proper Victorian mourning etiquette for home décor, clothing, funerals, and social behavior as well as superstitions, séances, mementos, and a few popular practices of the time that we would find bizarre today. https://www.historicjacksonville.org/victorian-theme-tours/
