VisitJacksonville’s 1870s Beekman House Museum, home to the town’s wealthiest andmost prominent pioneer family, and catch a glimpse of how an upper-class Jacksonville family wouldhave lived in the late 1800s. “FamilyLife” tours highlight 19th Century daily life, changes brought about by theIndustrial Revolution, and Victorian architectural and designinnovations, providing insights into an upper-class Jacksonville lifestyleduring the town’s heyday. Costumed docents offer 30-minute tours between12 noon and 3 p.m. The Beekman HouseMuseum, completely furnished with Beekman family artifacts, is located at 470E. California Street in Jacksonville.
