Jacksonville Police Department – National Night Out
The Jacksonville Police Department is excited to announce its participation in the 39th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, marking the first time Jacksonville has hosted this nationwide event.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong partnerships between law enforcement, first responders, and the communities they serve. Since its beginning in 1984, millions of residents across all 50 states have participated in events designed to strengthen neighborhood relationships, encourage crime prevention, and foster safer, more connected communities.
This year’s event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bigham Knoll Campus, located at 525 Bigham Knoll Drive, Jacksonville, OR.
National Night Out encourages residents to turn on their porch lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outdoors with their neighbors and local public safety personnel. The event provides an opportunity for community members to meet the officers who serve Jacksonville, ask questions, learn about public safety resources, and build relationships in a fun, family-friendly environment.
